This blog contains thoughts and observations about land reform and local governance of land in Tanzania. I also refer to land affairs in other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and, sometimes, elsewhere in the world.
You will find both academic stuff and non-academic open-minded reflexions, all related to my PhD project. If you wish to quote a blog post it is a good idea to contact me first and ask me to confirm the piece of information you are looking for. The blog reflects my working process and is not a final thesis. Comments are most welcome.
hello, interesting blog you got. Got here through Louder than Swahili! which topics I enjoy most of the time.
regarding your blog layout; the font size in all the other posts is far too small and I can hardly read it. The font in this post is just fine. I will keep following your blog closely :-) Job

Hi Rasmus,
I am looking forward to reading along with you, learning more about land rights in Northern Tanzania. I am currently at the very beginning of making up my mind about a PhD project in anthropology/development studies/political science and want to wish you all the best for your project, munku akubariki!
Cheers, Siri
